Now is the ideal time for you to start getting ready for the summer months ahead. Make a plan to get your beach body today.
Sculpt Your Beach Body
Cellulite is common, but that doesn’t mean you have to live with it. Common advice to minimize cellulite involves rubbing coffee grounds on your legs or using sunless tanner to make the dimples less visible.
If you dream of relaxing on the beach in a bathing suit without cellulite dimples, the bulge of a muffin top or love handles, and many other areas that contain troublesome fatty deposit, you should consider CoolSculpting. It is a less invasive alternative to liposuction, using a process called Cryolipolysis or concentrated cold temperatures.
The treatment works by freezing fat in certain areas. The freezing process destroys the fat, which is then flushed out of the body. While the treatment itself doesn’t take much time or have a long downtime, it can take as long as three months for you to see the results. Whether you will benefit most from one treatment or from multiple treatments depends on the amount of fat you hope to have removed and the number of areas you want to treat.
Reduce Unwanted Body Hair
Now that things are warming up, you might be on the market for a more long lasting solution to your unwanted hair. Imagine not having to shave or wax all the time. Depending on the type of hair you have, laser hair removal might be the solution for you.
There is some planning involved in laser hair removal. For example, if you usually wax or pluck your hair, you’ll want to avoid doing so, starting about six weeks before your treatment. It is OK to shave the area before your treatment. Shaving the day before treatment is actually recommended. You should also avoid spending a lot of time in the sun in the weeks before your laser treatment.
There’s almost no downtime after laser hair removal, but you might need to schedule multiple treatments to get the best results. How many treatments you need will depend on how much hair you have and the size of the area you want to treat.
Reduce Spider Veins
Some people stopped wearing shorts or miniskirts years ago, as soon as the first signs of spider veins appeared on their legs. You don’t have to suffer through 90 degree days in long pants. Spider Vein Therapy, or Laser Vein Therapy, can minimize the appearance of spider or varicose veins, making you feel more confident about your legs again.
Laser Vein Therapy is used to treat the appearance of spider veins, the small red, purple, or blue web of blood vessels under the skin. It involves using pulses of laser energy, so that the spider veins collapse and fade from view over the weeks following treatment. It requires no anesthesia or downtime. Depending on the size of the area, after one or two 15 to 30 minute treatments the spider veins will be gone. Any additional session is usually only needed if new spider veins appear. An alternative treatment is sclerotherapy, during which the spider veins are injected with a hardening solution that the body will reabsorb and will remove treated veins.
Varicose veins are not the same thing as spider veins and are treated differently. They are the darker, bulging veins that develop when the blood vessels are not functioning properly, and may be a sign of a more serious health condition. A medical evaluation by a physician is recommended.
