Dermal fillers are an important part of noninvasive cosmetic medicine, restoring volume and smoothing the facial lines that accompany a natural loss in tissue elasticity. Now in their second generation, today’s dermal fillers take the trusted results of injectable treatments one step further, providing the most consistent and longest lasting results available. Juvederm Vollure XC, a second-generation soft tissue filler, was designed to treat the moderate to severe facial lines that appear on the lower face. Unlike traditional fillers, Vollure offers immediate results that will last from 12 to 18 months. Mirror Mirror Beauty Boutique is excited to bring Juvederm Vollure to our patients.
Juvederm Vollure can:
- Smooth nasolabial folds (the creases that run between the nose and mouth)
- Replace volume loss along the cheeks and across the jaw
- Erase moderate to severe wrinkles
- Add contour and definition to the jawline
- Offer results that last up to 18 months, sometimes longer
Juvederm Vollure from Mirror Mirror Beauty Boutique
Juvederm Vollure is a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler, created to successfully address the fine lines and deep creases that form along the lower 1/3 of the face. A naturally occurring substance, HA is an important component in the structure of healthy, firm skin. Approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Vollure is made from a mixture of low and high molecular weight HA, using Juvederm patented Vycross™ Technology. This unique, smooth gel formula gives the dermal filler an unrivaled ability to provide meticulous results that can last up to 18 months, longer than most products on the market today. Juvederm Vollure brings patients exceptional results, plumping moderate to severe static lines such as the nasolabial folds and the marionette lines at the corners of the mouth.
What causes static facial lines?
- A loss of fat and collagen
- Sun damage
- Weight fluctuations
- Smoking
- Gravity
- Genetics
- The normal aging process
The Ideal Candidate for Juvederm Vollure
Juvederm Vollure can make an excellent, wrinkle-reducing option for most patients. The ideal candidate will be in generally good health, understand the dermal filler process, and have realistic expectations for the final results. However, Vollure is not right for everyone. Those patients who are pregnant or nursing may be asked to postpone treatment. Anyone with a history of anaphylaxis, severe allergic reactions, or a known allergy to lidocaine or Gram-positive bacterial proteins should not move forward with Vollure. During your consultation appointment, we will assist in determining if Vollure is right for your individual needs. If so, a personalized skin rejuvenation treatment plan will be created. Complimentary techniques, such as Botox Cosmetic or Ulthera Lift, may be recommended for optimal results.
Juvederm Vollure Injections
For optimal patient comfort, Mirror Mirror Beauty Boutique performs all of our injectable treatments in a private treatment room. Each session normally takes less than half an hour, from start to finish. Juvederm Vollure is injected under the skin, using a very small needle for precise placement. While the injections are not considered painful, the filler is premixed with lidocaine, a local anesthetic. The area is lightly numbed with each injection, so while patients may note a slight pinch during the application, Vollure sessions are generally well-tolerated. A topical numbing can be added by request, as well. Once the desired results have been achieved, patients are ready to get back to their busy day, with little to no downtime necessary.
Your Vollure Recovery, Results, and Potential Risks
With no downtime required after the Vollure injections, patients can resume their daily activities right away. It is common for the treatment area to be red and slightly swollen for the first day or two, so some patients may choose to take the afternoon off. Makeup can be applied to the treated area immediately. However, patients should avoid exercise or strenuous activities for the first 48 hours, as this can increase the risk of swelling.
The benefits from Juvederm Vollure can be seen the same day. As the swelling and redness resolve, the results can continue to improve. Over the following several months, Vollure will stimulate the body’s natural collagen supply, ensuring the results will keep looking fresh and natural for up to 18 months.
Juvederm Vollure has been approved by the FDA as a safe and trusted treatment for moderate to severe facial lines. Side-effects, while mild, generally include tenderness, bruising, and mild swelling. Itching is also common. More serious complications are rare. However, there is a slight risk of infection, facial asymmetry, nerve damage, and allergic reactions. Anyone with a known allergy to lidocaine and Gram-positive bacteria should refrain from using the product.

Juvederm Vollure FAQ
Vollure is one of the newest soft tissue fillers from the Juvederm family, made from Hyaluronic Acid, a building block of healthy skin. Vollure was created using Juvederm patented Vycross technology, made with a mix of high and low molecular weight HA, creating a smooth gel that is perfect for filling in moderate to severe facial creases. Juvederm Vollure is FDA approved as a safe and effective filler for the lower 1/3 of the face.
Vollure makes an excellent choice for almost any adult looking to smooth moderate facial lines or add volume to the cheeks/jawline. If you are in overall good health, have a clear understanding of the injectable process, and hold realistic expectations, Vollure may be right for you. Those patients with a known allergy to lidocaine or Gram-positive bacteria should not choose Juvederm Vollure.
Vollure’s unique smooth-gel formula, a mix of low and high molecular weight HA, makes the filler perfect for correcting deep creases on the lower portion of the face, especially the nasolabial folds and marionette lines running from the mouth to the chin. The filler can also be used to add volume and definition to the jawline.
Mirror Mirror Beauty Boutique performs all injection treatments, including those with Juvederm Vollure, in a comfortable, private patient room in our Richmond Avenue office.
Treatment with Vollure is not considered painful, although most patients report feeling slight pressure and a pinch during the application. Vollure is premixed with lidocaine, a local anesthetic, which numbs the treatment area with each injection. A topical numbing cream can be applied before treatment, as well.
Depending on the individual patient and the exact treatment area, most Vollure sessions will take about 30 minutes. Once the desired results have been achieved, patients are free to return to work, school, and their normal routine.
The results from Juvederm Vollure injections can be seen immediately. These benefits will continue to improve over the next several days as any redness, bruising, and swelling along the treatment area resolve.
Juvederm Vollure is one of the longest lasting soft tissue fillers available today, bringing results that last for up to 18 months or longer. As Vollure’s HA stimulates the body’s production of collagen, the skin will continue to look plump and smooth. Once the results begin to fade, a maintenance session can further extend the benefits of Vollure.
Immediately after your Vollure injections, it is common for the treatment area to be tender and red. Light bruising and swelling can also be seen, although these should quickly resolve. Most normal activities can be resumed the same day, including the application of makeup. However, we recommend postponing vigorous exercise for two days, as this can increase the chance of swelling.
Little to no downtime is required after a Vollure session, therefore patients can immediately return to work or school. As the treatment area may be red and slightly swollen, some patients choose to recover at home for the first 24 hours.
Juvederm Vollure is FDA approved as a safe and trustworthy treatment for moderately deep to severe static facial lines. Complications are rare but can include infection, nerve damage, facial asymmetry, and an allergic reaction to lidocaine or Vollure’s Gram-positive bacteria.
The cost of each Vollure session will range from $800 and $1,500. However, the exact price will depend on each patient’s unique needs, the exact treatment area, and extent of correction required. During your Juvederm Vollure consultation, the price of your individual treatment will be clearly determined.
At Mirror Mirror Beauty Boutique, we accept cash, all major credit cards, and various forms of health care financing.
